Having survived the war because its shape was a good landmark, it underwent a £30 million refurbishment and is now a 4 star hotel with a variety of guest rooms, including those for disabled visitors, and long stay serviced apartments. The Melia White House is situated next to the green acres of Regent's Park, home of London Zoo and open air theatre, and is an ideal base for the business or leisure traveller. Paddington mainline station with the Heathrow Express and Warren Street and Great Portland Street underground stations are nearby and a short stroll will take you to the internationally famous shopping paradise of Oxford Street and Regent Street or the avant garde Covent Garden area.
